Why this sessionI sat in the same lecture halls not long ago, learning a law that looked very different the first time I stood before a judge with a real brief in hand. This session is the hour I wish someone from the courts had given me while I was still on campus.

The session is open to law students — in both the five-year and three-year LLB courses — and to recent law graduates across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. Whether you are in your first year or preparing to enrol, you are welcome to apply.
Yes. The introductory session is taken pro bono by the practising advocates of Legum Lex and is entirely free of cost. It is an educational initiative under Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules — there is no fee, no obligation and nothing to buy.
The introductory session is held live online, so law students anywhere in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and the wider Tricity can join from their campus or home. Joining details are shared with applicants once a seat is confirmed.
It summarises where the law taught in the classroom and the law practised in the courts part ways — from drafting the first files to arguing on your feet in court — told by advocates who make that journey every working day.
The session is taken by the practising advocates of Legum Lex, a Chandigarh law firm that appears before the courts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. You learn the practised law directly from those who practise it.
